Rabu (9/7) aku bersama fotografer Ongisnade.Net, Adi “Zero”, meliput acara launching tim Arema untuk Indonesia Super League di Bougenville Room Taman Rekreasi Sengkaling. Acara launching Arema yang dimulai jam 7 malam tersebut berbeda dengan mayoritas tim-tim di Superliga yang lain, lebih berkesan eksklusif dan berasa Superliga-nya.
Bagaimana tidak, ketika sebagian besar tim melaunching kesebelasan mereka dengan acarapentas panggung dangdut, Arema lebih memilih menggelar acara launching dengan konsep minimalis. Seperti halnya launching tim di luar negeri (padahal belum pernah lihat langsung). Acara inti hanyalah perkenalan pemain, lengkap dengan kostum baru untuk musim mendatang.
Selain tim Arema senior, launching team juga mengenalkan skuad Arema U-21 (Arema Junior) yang akan turut serta berkompetisi di Superliga kategori tim junior atau tim U21.

Acara launching Arema tersebut juga jadi ajang reunian teman-teman jurnalis (khususnya olahraga atau sepakbola) di Malang Raya. Aku kumpul lagi dengan rekan2 dari Satujiwa dan Arek Ngalam, juga dari radio, ada El Kepet, Sam Kris, dan Sam Dendy, juga dari koran pagi Jawapos (Firdaus), MalangPost (Poy), dan Memo Arema (Buari).
